Women’s Fall Retreat
Can you feel it in the air?! FALL! It’s trying really hard to come and, if you are like me, you are ready for a change and some cooler weather. And at Sanctuary UMC, Fall means things like our Annual Women’s Fall Retreat and our Fall Festival. The women’s retreat deadline to register is October 9th, so ladies be sure and get your registration forms in now! This year the retreat theme is Sweet Life Café and it is going to be a SWEEEET time for all the women of Sanctuary. You can also invite a friend to register as well. What a great way to introduce someone to our church. It will be held at the Redemptorist Renewal Center just up the street from the church on Saturday, October 22, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Check out the red table at church or our church website for more information and to register. You don’t want to miss out on this fun and relaxing day!
Fall Festival
This year we are calling our Fall Festival “The FALL-eluia Festival.” We will be having a Trunk or Treat contest and two winners will receive a free weekend stay for 2 at the Hilton Tucson East. The sign up to enter your vehicle along with several great decorating ideas are on the red table. You can also sign up there for the potluck. In addition to all the regular fun things at the FALL-eluia Festival, like Pumpkin Carving contest, UMW Bake Sale, a Cookie Walk, Bingo with prizes, a craft and guessing game table and a Quilt Raffle with proceeds for the Building Fund…..we have a brand new addition this year!! We will have a Noah’s Ark Petting Zoo with Patches, the miniature donkey, goats, and other cute animals. Come and meet Patches and join in the fun. You will be singing “FALL-eluia”! I can’t wait!!
Even though Fall is a season of change and we know that change can be a good thing, we also can rest in the fact that Jesus never changes and He will go with us through every change in our lives and in our church.
